A platform for faculty-built AI solutions

PRISM is not a generic AI assistant. It is a faculty-controlled platform built around curriculum grounding, Case-Based Learning, and deployable study support.

Turn faculty ideas into guided clinical reasoning

PRISM helps faculty turn teaching priorities, learning objectives, and clinical tradeoffs into guided clinical reasoning rather than static cases or generic chat bots.

  • Guide learners through history, differential, diagnostics, and management.
  • Keep faculty teaching objectives and decision points visible in the case flow.
  • Build reusable Case-Based Learning experiences across courses and cohorts.

Build course-grounded AI tools from your own materials

PRISM gives faculty a way to upload course documents, shape scope and objectives, create assessments, and build Case-Based Learning experiences without custom software work.

  • Upload notes, slides, guides, and other course-specific source material.
  • Define educational scope, learning objectives, and faculty framing explicitly.
  • Create curriculum-grounded AI tools, assessments, and CBL experiences in one place.

Deploy learner-facing support across courses and programs

PRISM brings course-grounded support to classrooms, courses, and partner education settings, so institutions can deploy faculty-built tools without losing curricular control.

  • Deploy across medical schools, training programs, and faculty-led curricula.
  • Support specialty societies, distributed programs, and partner education models.
  • Keep learner-facing AI guidance aligned to faculty materials and course boundaries.

Software shaped by faculty practice, product discipline, and academic medicine

Equanimity Labs grew out of complementary work in infectious diseases education, AI methods, and translational software design. Equanimity Labs exists to help institutions preserve the quality of faculty-guided teaching while building strong AI infrastructure for modern educational delivery.

Our first product, PRISM, reflects that approach: a faculty-controlled platform built by Johns Hopkins faculty members for Case-Based Learning, course-grounded study support, and institution-ready deployment.
